" right after the fall of Constantinople to the Turks, much of the classical wisdom, building techniques, science enquiry & philosophy, including the framework of Justinian Roman law code are rediscovered, explored & employed with a passion. This is when the scholars from that city bring with them the preserved works of the classics that managed to survive in the east, when fleeing to the western centers, Rome."

Excuse me. I'm the one who pointed that out to you. Before I did, you were attributing the Renaissance in Italy to the accidental discovery of a poem by Lucretius.

But yes, most of the good things about western civilization is based on Judeo-Christianity. Otherwise we'd live in a slave society, practice widespread infanticide, kill people in our stadiums for entertainment, treat our women like property ..... just like our cultural Greco-Roman forebears.

Brumar and company will hand the next election to the Dems. I'm completely convinced that due to a 3% (and I don't mean GOP) demographic that Brumar actually represents he and his compadres will drive the election to the far left.
