On the Moon they use different cars from Lake Superior. Come to think of it, Moon Rovers are electric. Fuel cells are popular in such machinery. You are stuck in one-size-fits-all mentality. Different cars for different purposes. Yes, to take a family of 10 on a trip for 3000 miles, a bus would be better than a single-seater. To take a load of cement to a building site, a truck would be better than a VW Golf. Pat yourself on the back about what BIG trucks you drive and how far you have to drive to enjoy yourself. 7 billion other people will live their lives the way they want to. It would be amusing to see you in your Yank Tank driving around the little European roads. <don't you live in New Zealand ? how far do you have to drive to go from one side to another ? > Mostly I live here. I can walk from one side to the other where I live in a couple of hours. In the south island it's more like a day's project in the coast to coast race, by bicycle, running, canoe. If you like camping and fishing, you'd like NZ. You can catch decent sized fish. Many types. Ocean and trout fishing are both good. <have you ever taken a Yugo with your wife and 3 kids and the dog across country 3000 miles ? > No, but went further than that in our Toyota Corolla across Canada, and across USA, camping in a tent, with our 1 year old. When we had 4 children, we upgraded to a Mitsubishi Chariot but were not camping then. We never had a Yugo, but I had a Lada in Antwerp, which was my commuting car. It was a fun little cheap vehicle. Bright yellow. Bananalada. It went on a trip to Rouen, which was a bit of a project for it, but I got there and back just fine. Mqurice
