Yeah, stock buybacks are not something you just do. It usually takes an act of the board, and it is usually announced in the open market first.

given that the stock is down 1+, I doubt it's true. It's now in the 21 range.

I was pretty down on this stock and company a few weeks ago, but boy, didn't know I was that good a prognosticator.

Ellison did a horrible job of damage control yesterday in NY; I think we'll see sub-20 in next day or two.

People are going to bail out of this company like crazy - which is good for short term expense line, but the problem is that it's usually the good ones who go first.

I heard that Oracle is buying back also. Hope they announce it soon. They only need to announce any new buy-backs. But if they are exercising old authorizations, they dont need to announce it at all.
