I understand it. That's why I left California.

I have many personal stories of reverse discrimination. I still recall as a young single dad going in to apply for food stamps and getting the third degree form the social workers. Meanwhile the Latino men were lined up in the parking lot in cherried out brand new pick ups waiting for their girl friends to come out with stamps, cash assistance, etc. They'd load up in the truck then drive over to the next County and do it again. Very common for one girl to be drawing assistance in 5 counties back then.

Not exactly true. They pay sales taxes.

But still, there is an easy solution. Have an amnesty program and make them legal. They'd have a social security number and pay income and payroll taxes. Step on people who pay under the table, hard.

SSI would be in better shape and things would be better for everyone. It is a win all the way around...
