"And the problem for me right now is that how much money should I prepare for the margin call? I am now transferring all those margin call to my credit card, which will charge me 19% APR. Does it worth it? Am I just throwing the money in a Black hole?"
No, it isn't worth it. Yes, it is a black hole shortterm.

I don't use margin, so of course I don't advise
buying on margin at all - short term who knows
what can happen. When I talk of investments I
speak of them as long-term holdings as part of a
portfolio diversified at least across 5 industries.
I'm certainly not advocating buying Quantum
as a major portion of a portfolio or on margin.
Fine it hits 40, but it hits 12 first - then where
are you?

Most advice from people who've done well
is to buy a well-researched fundamental story,
and sell if it changes. OXHP changed with its
$200M charge, so I got out. QNTM didn't change
with this press release so I'm still in. I added
a small amount at 23 yesteraday, and I've
got another buy order down in the mid 17's.

I wouldn't continue to margin especially on a credit card. Its just too risky. I do think qntm has bottomed (Yes I've said that before) and it will rocover.

>> Michael: I agree with you. However, I have one question: if this Bear Stearns guy is so sure what he is talking about, why he cannot say something in the public. That might give us some relief. <<

Get some tums, that's about all the "relief" you're going to get these days.

A suggestion for you on your credit cards that you will carry your margin call on. I never pay 19% on my cards. I tranfer balances on my visa every 6-12 months and pay 8.9%. If you call them they will all have a balance transfer special. I just tried to cancell my Capital One Visa because I told them that their rates are too high. So they lowered it to 8.9 for 1 year and upgraded my card to a platinum. Do not pay 19%.

Email me if you need help.
