As Peter Falk in his role as Detective Columbo often said, "There's just one small thing that's troubling me." On Dec. 10th, AT&T announces the launch of their new dial-up internet sevice. The following day, news leaks out that the company is ready to invest more than $1 billion in ATHM, a competitor. Hmmmmmm. And then rumors surface that AT&T may be in negotiations to purchase Teleport (TCGI) in total. I haven't checked, but is possible that $58 x TCGI's number of outstanding shares would come to about $1.25 billion? As you may know, TCGI has agreed to lease their lines for delivery of @Work. The pot is being stirred, but I wonder if we're seeing soup when its really a sauce? Any other interpretations? Paul
