Linda, it isn't necessary to climb up every raise in order to get to see "the mine". Sedentary people can sit on the trolley platform, stand on the bottom level, ride in the 4WD, look at the miners, talk to the mine superintendent and mill superintendent, visit with the office staff, eat lunch, etc. etc. 75% of the entire visit simply required a pair of ears and eyes. I recommend it to all, sedentary or not!

BTW - I have been corrected: "raise" is pronounced raise (and not rise). <g> I love learning things.
