Gordon:

I have seen LEGEND computers offered in U.S. catalouges I see. They
are very competitively priced. They seem to build a quality machine.

I read about many of the companies you mentioned in a November
"BUSINESS WEEK" article titled :"The race to become China's Microsoft." As I read, I started writing down the names of companies
mentioned. Stone was the company I was able to buy in the U.S.

I was most impressed by the Chinese Government granting them a "patent" on their Value Added Tax software & accounting system.
AS I understand it, a patent is not common in China. As I also
understand it, This "VAT" software will be fairly widely used
by merchants across China.

Naturally, everything can change at anytime. But Stone seemed to
be somewhat ahead in both internet & domestic software applications.

I downloaded their free sample of RICHWIN from their internet site.
I was hoping to evaluate it. Most embarassing, but I made a very
stupid American mistake......I forgot that a Chinese product designed for Chinese citizens would be written in Chinese! <G>
