Not clear what is the ingredient that makes it happen.

Costs of living so out of whack now in Boston and The Bay Area.

They've been saying that for 25 years.

Something has to give. Maybe $19B Google paying for an app is near the top for this social media bubble.. I find it all amazing what this world has come to on so many levels.

At times, growth has slowed for SF when tech growth has slowed but then it starts right back up. Tech is the future.......or at least the foreseeable future.

What do you think the odds are of Zillow growing into a monster company like a Amazon? Seems like the winner take all new technology winners putting so many out of business but can Zillow do this to the powerful realtor lobby?

Zillow has a good idea. Now its up to its CEO. AMZN got as big as it has because Bezos is special.

Come on. How can you even compare Boston to the fricking Silly Valley with 1.6M prices for a wreck. You can find much better houses for much less almost anywhere you go in Boston. For 400K you can still find nice places in 95 circle in good neighborhoods. Even for 300K if you are willing to compromise.
