I always wondered about the "three wise men". How did they know about the birth of Jesus? Were they wizards of some sort? How can I get in THEIR club? They were Zoroastrian astrologers. According to Zoroastrian mythology, those guys were top-notch. They could read an individuals state in the stars in real time. I remember one story where a guy pissed a magi off and went through various contortions, like putting a shoe full of his blood on top of his head so the magi thought he was dead, to stop him being pursued.
