To me, this plant closing sounds great!!! This means that the major players are not willing to bend over and grab their ankles becuase the Koreans are dumping. It is good news to hear that all 3 (SEG, WDC & QNTM) will slow down the production, so the supply & demand will catch up sometime in the future. The Koreans are dumping big time, but I have a feeling that becuase their economy is in such a terrible shape soon or later, they can not afford it any longer. Also I just read it some where that their Electronics Industry Assoc. is blaming the same Korean companies for killing the DRAM prices and ruining the entire world market for all the DRAM suppliers. Maybe they see the light that nobody, except the PC manufacturers, and to some point the consumers, will benefit from this Chinese Auction. The Koreans will be forced to stop their dumping of DD. That is just my $0.02. I am losing my A** on this segment big time, but I have to hang in there, and possibly average down some more. Are we going to see single digits????
