"Religious organizations based upon those faiths are responsible for many good works in the modern world"

That does not counter what I said. It merely misinterprets it. Nothing supernatural is involved when anyone helps anyone. I did not say that superstitious fears of being punished did not motivate certain people to pony up to spokespersons for invisible beings. What I said was: superstition has given NOTHING to the survival of our species.

Our species would have survived with or without superstition. Indeed, if people had gained a combination of knowledge and reason centuries before they actually did (by whatever means--it is hypothetical)--we would probably be controlling climate by now and have colonies on the moon and elsewhere. No. Superstitious people are not without humanity, and I never said so.

Sorry you misunderstood. But perhaps you wanted to misunderstand, n'est ce pas??

Religious faith (superstition according to you)has indeed added to the survival of our species. Religious organizations based upon those faiths are responsible for many good works in the modern world (Mother Theresa, Little Sister of the Poor, Catholic Charities....to name but a few)...to deny this is simply to be IGNORANT.
You're kidding right? That old cow denied medicine to suffering people so they could be perfect imitations of Christ.

There is no species you witless wonder there is only creation as defined by a bunch of politicised fireside tales. If you read your bum buddy Brumar he does not talk about species he talks about "our society" the most violent drug addicted in the history of civilization. I suppose you light a candle to Tom Delay at night before saying a Novena for Brumar in his never ending fight against the Gawd haters.
But you DO represent hatred of God as he's understood in our society. Brumar...
