PX,
"I am praying for the big guys to keep cutting production and stabilize prices and do it fast fast fast. The future is now really out of my hands."
That is why I said earlier today that it might be in SEG, WDC and QNTM's interests to keep the blood flowing for a few extra quarters. Get these people out of the business, with very bad memories of how it is so that they never want to touch it again--as some have said about disk drive stocks recently. That, of course, is a good thing longer term, not a bad thing, for those who can weather this storm.

Sorry about your shirt,
Sam
Always marginless and grateful for small favors

You guys have some excellent analysis, BUT

you are thinking like Westeners. Many Asian cultures, such as the chinese, have much longer horizons. Indulge me an example.

I worked for 16 months at a semiconductor manufacturer in Taiwan recently. As you may know China has claimed that Taiwan is a "renegade province" of China for over 50 years (I don't remember exactly how long). On a trip into China I glanced at the map of the trainroutes and was surprised to see Taiwan on the map. Know what it said??? "Temporarily closed"

BTW I STRONGLY believe that what we are seeing in these two industries is a sign of things to come in other industries as the sleeping asian giant awakens.

Keep the analysis coming!
