"I did not misunderstand at all....." I didn't really think you had. You are well known for grasping at any opportunistic pretense for the purpose of misrepresentation. "Religious faith and the values of that faith are what drives the initiatives I mentioned" Again, you are setting up a straw man and shaking it like you are really ferocious! Superstitious thinking has done NOTHING to add to our survival as a species. That is a fact. And I already said that the superstitious fears of being punished did indeed motivate certain people to pony up to spokespersons for invisible beings. And as (or when) these "initiatives" are not caused by supernatural beliefs, they are completely irrelevant to the attributes of supernatural credulity. If you cannot figure that out then you are dumber than I thought. So...nobody has intimated that superstitious people are without humanity and without "initiatives". That is just your dodge. And without the wheel or the cart or the airplane or the telephone...superstitious people could still have "initiatives" and still be altruistic for a price. But how does staying mired in the morass of irrationality and grubbing for beetles and sacrificing something or someone to make it rain contribute to the survival of the species?? Don't have an answer, do ya!! Because you know damn well that without Reason our species would never have survived. Because other animals are faster, stronger, and more skilled killers--except when our minds are working. "what I expected from a close minded bigot" Thanks for not stepping out of character.
