Technicare was another CT maker but was never very profitable eventually being taken over by J&J.
Pfizer had an ACTA scanner that never became popular.
The earliest CT scanners in my area were EMI's being purchased by neurosurgeons and entrepreneurial radiologists

Many innovations come from abroad in Medicine.....many GI developments came form Europe like evaluation of constipation and evacuation disorders as well as Israel (videocapsules ).Your elitist US mentality is a GOP signature.
