Please prove to me that raising taxes, is generating growth, and truly reduces the government deficits, IMHO it only delays the inevitable as the additional income from raising taxes is squandered (all this assuming that all income taxes and the like are paid).

Deepening or broadening the tax collection base does not count in my logic as it is indeed having a positive effect.

All deficit reduction are short term or illusionary and temporary

IMHO any taxes that go over let say the 30% tress-hold invites tax avoidance and tax loopholes and are counterproductive therefore the income side should be tackled and not additionally taxed.

Great attention should be given to initial investment capital gains, and to differentiate from other perks and benefits or those of stock options etc.,
