Really? If I can support my wife so she can raise the kids and take care of our household, this is a good thing. You probably want to outlaw robots, too. They might reduce the evil labor force participation rate as well. Heck, why not outlaw heathcare coverage for spouses and children, as well.

You should not allow your partisanship to make an idiot of you. I'm noticing that is increasingly becoming a regular habit of yours, i-node.

Anyone but a moron realizes that robots and software are taking over ALL jobs humans do. The "labor force participation rate" will continue to go down, until no one works at all.

If you were an employer, would you rather have a human, who can only work a certain number of hours a day, gets sick, needs time off, benefits, a salary, a vacation - or a robot/software combination that works 24 / 7 / 365 for only it's up-front cost and needs none of those things? It's a no brainer for the employer.
