Duck Dynasty Stars Announce Purchase of Naming Rights to Independence Bowl FEBRUARY 24, 2014 BY JENNIFER BURKE Duck Commander, the multi-million dollar duck calling business operated by the Roberston Family of Duck Dynasty fame, has a new calling and it involves college football. Bleacher Report reports that the Robertson Family blockbuster duck calling business, Duck Commander, is in process of purchasing the naming rights for the Independence Bowl through 2019. The Independence Bowl, the 11th oldest bowl game in the country, has been played for 38 years in Shreveport, Louisiana; a town just under 100 miles away from the Duck Commander town of West Monroe. According to reports, the new name for the bowl will be Duck Commander Independence Bowl. The bowl game will feature pairings from the SEC and the ACC. - See more at: tpnn.com
