Tons of videos out there from the event (YouTube, various phone/tech sites, etc) that show it actually being used. Heart rate monitor and finger swipe appear to work great. Of course you can find people who say they can't get it to work or don''t know how... I saw one person who thought the button was the reader. Also remember, these are pre-production models, so there will likely be minor improvements along the way to release. The reason I saw "excellent" is the integration with mobile payments, the heart rate monitor, and the swipe functionality... all nice improvements over the iPhone's biometric interface, which itself was a big step forward. Just learned of the Wifi + 4G integrated data speed boost... pretty cool feature as well.
