Read Replies (42) | Respond to of 16547 I do not have the years it will take to understand the 'true' meaning of the ACA but there are many examples, such as the below, restricting application of the ACA to citizens etc. But since the ACA seems to merely obligate the individual to paying a tax and perhaps getting insurance and does not guarantee actual health care, why should an illegal care about getting ACA access, especially knowing that their full information will be given to Homeland and all other government agencies. At present all anyone, illegal or not, need do is to show up in an ER and tell them what's wrong; no other information or action is required. And there is no reporting, AFAIK, for ER walkins.
