When you tax robots you will lose the market to imports from countries that don't tax robots. Therefore, when you say "tax robots", you are essentially saying erect trade barriers and start a trade war. That's fine with me, but it should be made clear, since most economists, even liberal ones, hate erecting trade barriers.
