Sadly, you don't have an example of a "free market". And yet you want to modify the US economy based on your assumptions that this would be better.

It's possible you're confused about the history of central banks in the US. The first one was started in 1791, not 1913. There was a period during which there was no central bank and it was a time when people had no idea what paper money was worth:
