I know the guy who led the investigation, he's every bit as much a liberal as you are, and he said GWB won the election. I am pretty damned sure if that were not true he would have been totally pleased for it to have come out the other way.

It is what it is. Bush won the election. Period, end of story.

And most of the country, on 9/11, breathed a deep sigh of relief that Bush had been elected and not that T-Total-Nitwit and scumbag Al Gore.

It may be because voting is an activity run for the most part by the individual states. The states elect the president, not the popular vote of individuals.
