There is no such thing as a Reagan deficit.....Congress has the purse strings......why do we blame the President for the failings of Congresscritters???

Not "not as bad", unless your comparing to the deficits with Obama as president (which are clearly worse). I was disagreeing with your painting Reagan as the "father of deficits" and the deficits then as being much much worse than before, and worse then since then. They were high deficits, continuing the bad trend before them not deficits I would describe as "not as bad" as those leading up to or closely following that period.
