I wouldn't say completely disconnected. Decent correlation: goo.gl But you make a good point that it has been more disconnected as of late.

Of course, fundamental catalysts like the Samsung announcement, earnings, various legal proceedings, new product info and rumors, etc. will certainly cause departures. Today, the market is up, so not surprising Apple is, too.

I'm thinking the broader market, however, is primed for a near-term retreat from here. We'll see.

Buys are trying to pick up shares cheap.

As I said when I sold the stock is going no where, except maybe down, until we see new products. If nothing bad happens it will trade in a range. If there is bad economic news all boats go down.

If the new products are home runs we'll see.

OK, AAPL is up today. Any idea why?

None of my news sources are pointing out a reason.

On the fundamental side, I would say it is because the AZ Governor vetoed the bill, giving a "go-full-blast" to
Apple's projects in AZ.

On the technical side, while AAPL has NOT YET reached an oversold condition Message 29408271
it has been going down so long that it is due for a one day rally. A good one though, AAPL is now up for the
week.

The annual meeting is tomorrow. I'm guessing people are buying ahead of the meeting and hoping for some type of announcement that sends the stock higher
