That is the cut off - what was the guys name - proposed. Camp? Can you say McMasion! What the deduction does is incentivize borrowing. Nothing wrong to borrow to buy a house - but to incentivize it, I think sends the wrong message. We are starting to tell our kids now not to borrow so much on your student loans that makes paying the money back problematic. Maybe grown-ups should pay heed?
