Latest iterations of Android are likely more secure than iOS, given the iOS vulnerabilities discovered last week. Older versions of Android aren't as secure, but A) they are fading quickly as updates and newer devices are sold, and B) the vulnerabilities are generally related to more user choice, which is viewed as a worthwhile tradeoff by some. It's sort of like the old "fragmentation" issue you used to hear about (where people complained that a downside to Android was various versions floating around that weren't perfectly compatible)... that problem faded fast as Android moved from being a new to a mature platform. Companies using 4.3+ can already use Android as safely as anything else for corporate applications, so it's gaining traction there, finally.
