But they have purposely been late to release software until it was ready: And, Apple has experience releasing things too early. Under Sculley, they released the Newton too soon. It took a tremendous publicity hit that it never recovered from. Once they got some things worked out, it was a very capable device ahead of its time. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if they had worked the bugs out before release. Mobile technology itself probably would have been ahead of where we are now.
