Too late. Senior voters already saw this article this morning:

Insurers: Medicare Advantage cuts cost seniors $900 per year

The health insurance industry fighting proposed cuts to Medicare Advantage payments argued they will raise seniors' out-of-pocket costs next year.

America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), a trade group, blasted the reductions with a report Thursday finding that beneficiaries could pay as much as $900 more in 2015 if the cuts take effect.

"Many seniors have experienced fewer benefits and higher out-of-pocket cuts as a result of last year's cuts," she told reporters on a call. "What we're focused on is the impact on beneficiaries."

President Obama's Growth Gap Hits $1.31 Trillion
Posted 06:21 PM ET

Stagnation: With fourth-quarter GDP growth downgraded in the latest government report, President Obama's anemic economy stretches on. If this had been only an average recovery, we'd be $1.31 trillion richer.

Remember all that talk at the beginning of last year about how prosperity was — finally — just around the corner? In February 2013, for example, Reuters reported "signs are emerging that a more robust recovery is around the bend."

The same month, Bloomberg told its readers that "most Fed policymakers expect growth of 2.3% to 3%."

At the start of last year, the Obama administration projected growth in 2013 would be 2.3%. The Blue Chip consensus forecast was slightly higher.

None of those projections was stellar. But with the Bureau of Economic Analysis' sharp downward revision of Q4 growth — from 3.2% to 2.4% — each turned out to be overly optimistic. Actual gross domestic product growth for 2013 came in at a pathetic 1.9%.

That means annual growth during Obama's "recovery" has never topped 3%. By comparison, it never fell below 3% during the Reagan recovery. And in the nine years following the 1990-91 recession, GDP grew faster than 3% in all but two. Heck, even Jimmy Carter had some strong growth years.

Looked at another way, if Obama's recovery had merely been average — that is, if it had matched the average growth of the previous 10 economic recoveries — the economy would be $1.31 trillion bigger than it is now.

And 7.5 million more people would have jobs if employment growth had kept pace with the average post-World War II recovery.

It seems the only thing that's shown solid growth under Obama is the pile of excuses he's made to explain away this ongoing subpar performance.

First he rationalized that recoveries from financial crises are always slower. Then it was the tsunami in Japan, the debt crisis in Greece, the protests in the Mideast. He blamed Republicans for threatening to default on the debt and imposing across-the-board spending cuts. Later it was expiring unemployment benefits and "cuts" in food stamps.

Our favorite excuse is the one trotted out for the latest downgrade ... bad weather. Seems a cold winter sapped growth. But the weather excuse doesn't make sense, either, since national temperatures and precipitation were close to average during all of Q4.

Now we're once again hearing talk about emerging signs of growth and a brightening outlook. Prosperity may indeed be just around the corner. But under Obama, there seems to be no end to the corners.

Washington state girl, 11, shoots cougar that stalked her brother 11-year-old Shelby White fired a rifle at an emaciated female cougar estimated to weight a paltry 50 pounds. The animal appeared to be following her 14-year-old brother, Tanner, into their home before she shot the life-saving bullet. It was the third such death of a cougar on the Whites' property in two weeks. Locals speculate the animals are starving and looking closer to humans for food. Facebook 11-year-old Shelby White shot and killed a cougar that was stalking her brother near their Twisp, Wash., ranch.

A quick-thinking Washington state girl bravely grabbed a gun to shoot dead a cougar that was stalking her older brother.

Shelby White, 11, said she acted instinctively after spotting the skinny predator following Tanner, 14, as he walked back to their rural home in Twisp last Thursday.

The fearless hunter snatched her rifle, took aim at the deadly beast which was just 10 feet away, and gunned it down — saving her sibling's life.

Methow Valley News reports that the female cougar, which was "severely emaciated," tried to get into the family's Lookout Mountain ranch's cow pen at 2:30 a.m. that morning.

Shelby's dad Thomas White was alerted to the intruder after his pet dog started barking and managed to scare it away.

It returned again two hours later and White again managed to scare it off.

Facebook The 11-year-old girl shot and killed the cougar (not pictured) after she spotted it following her brother into the house. It was the third cougar death on or near the family's ranch in two weeks.
The big cat tried to make its third time the charm at 3:30 p.m. when she chanced her luck as White's three children returned home from school.

Tanner White reportedly went outside to feed the family's dogs but, as he walked back to the house, the cougar jumped out from under one of their cars.

With the young boy seemingly unaware he was being followed, he let himself back inside the house and shut the door.

His father then looked out the window and was stunned to see the cougar just feet away.

Cal Treser, enforcement officer for Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, revealed that little Shelby White — who has a permit to kill cougars — acted immediately.

She grabbed her rifle and shot the cougar dead, before posing for pictures alongside her kill, he added.

Treser said the 4-year-old was "starving to death," weighed just 50 pounds and was the third such cat to be killed on or near the White's ranch in just two weeks.
