"The Deficit Fell Faster Last Year Than Any Since The End Of World War II"

It's amazing what a small tax increase can do. About time to boost it up a few percent more, drop the bracket to $250K, remove the cap on the SS tax, pass a corporate alternative minimum tax, and create a budget surplus.

You may not like to hear "I told you so…", but you should have been listening instead of banning.

Right, genius. Something only the idiots at thinkprogress could come up with and only the bigger idiots on SI could translate into a positive.

We've known forever that the deficit would come down right now, but due in no small part to Obama programs, within a few years it will be back with a vengeance, blowing past a trillion and STAYING there.

And even now, it is vastly HIGHER than GWB's average deficit by a mile.

The sorry bastard in the WHY actually wants to INCREASE spending.

And now comes the news that Q4 growth was far more anemic than originally estimated:

"The dividing line between an escape-velocity economy and a so-so, ho-hum economy is right at 3%," said Chris Rupkey, chief financial economist at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi in New York.

"It takes the wind out of our sails in terms of being too optimistic" about this year, Rupkey said.
