Slotman, Bingo!! And New York, according to my notes, is a one-party state meaning that you don't have to notify the person on the other side of the phone that you are recording him/her. In fact, most states are. And then you still have the issue of "body-wires" which follow basically the same rules. There are, of course, caveats to admissibility, but they are too specific and conditional to expound upon here. So much for the skills of RMIL's "former" trained investigator. Regards, Ron
