Forecast I am looking at has 233 gw hdd, 171 , 133 for the next three weeks.

Gas has been curtailed for many power plants for record periods this year. Chicago city gate prices are $17 this week end and its not even real cold.

Pipelines are having deliverability issues this Winter. Fast forward 5 years with much less coal generation capacity and I wonder how the power grid will survive a similar winter.

The last big NG withdrawal coming this Thursday - amazing cold for early March.

3/6 week actual 239 gas home heating HDDs (well above 217 original forecast and 68 above normal).
3/13 week forecast 146 HDDs (12 less than normal).

<<Just for reference,
the 1/30 week had 266 gas home heating HDDs (resulted in 262 bcf withdrawal);
the 2/6 week had 245 gas home heating HDDs (resulted in 230 bcf withdrawal);
the 2/13 week had 265 gas home heating HDDs (resulted in 250 bcf withdrawal);
the 2/20 week had 183 gas home heating HDDs (resulted in 95 bcf withdrawal);
the 2/27 week had 200 gas home heating HDDs (resulted in 152 bcf withdrawal);
and the forecast for 3/6 week had 217 gas home heating HDDs.>>
