General question:

If I sell a stock at a profit (to offset other losses) and then buy it back in two weeks, will I be able to use that this year as a gain, or will I have to wait at least 30 days?

(I know the answer if I sell it at a loss and then repurchase it in less than 30 days, but I am wondering if that applies to gains as well.)

Thanks

If this thing heads for 14 or 15 I will head to the top of the tallest building in town, fight my way through the beleaguered tech investors clamoring for launching pads and leap to untimely death. Or ... I could just quit looking at the stupid ticker and look at all of the positives this company has going and hold for long term.
