One has to recognise that most leftists are incapable of holding civil discourse with informed people. When their core beliefs are questioned and facts pointed out to disprove them they spout off opinions and believe that their opinions trump facts. They tend to only associate with other leftists. It is the only way they can communicate without being proven fools regularly. A guy I went to college with is a committed leftist. We can't discuss much of anything because his leftist world view discolors everything. We are still nice to each other, but I find it difficult to understand how anyone can be wrong about everything.
