>> What could Obama have done?

I don't think he could have done anything because he is inherently a weak individual. No surprise to anyone.

>> Realistically speaking, there wasn't anything to do

There wasn't anything for an outgoing president to do; Bush was a lame duck at that point. Yet, he was strong with Medvedev. And Bush did make a commitment to rebuild the Georgian military. Which, of course, didn't survive the election of you-know-who.

The problem here is that presidents cannot be weak. We tried that with Carter. It just doesn't pay. Even though Clinton wasn't as bad as Carter, his failure to take bin Laden resulted in 9/11, and his failure to take out Saddam (after he became belligerent in the face of Clinton's weakness) left it for Bush to deal with.

I don't know when you fools will learn but you to have a man, not a pantywaist, as president.

The real outrage is that liberals are denying what you've done to these poor people. It is sickening. Not just Reid but every last one of you. This is blood on the hands of CJ, Bentway, Al, and the rest of you as far as I'm concerned.

Mike Miller
On March 1, 2014

Harry Reid claimed on Thursday that every “horror story” we hear about ObamaCare increasing the cost of healthcare for anyone and everyone is false. Friday, the mom of a sick girl demanded an apology.

Reid made the preposterous claim on the Senate Floor on Wednesday:

“Despite all that good news, there’s plenty of horror stories being told. All of them are untrue, but they’re being told all over America.”

Eileen Benthal, whose 17-year-old daughter Johannah was born with congenital malformations in her brain and has undergone 89 surgeries, said her family lost their doctor and all out-of-state coverage due to the new regulations in the Affordable Care Act.

Benthal spoke out on “Fox and Friends” Friday and demanded an apology from Reid for his “offensive” comments:

“I was so offended. I spent the last three months working more than a part-time job to secure insurance after [the] termination that happened last fall. “Last year our [now former] insurance company paid $27,000 to have testing done. I would like him to pay $30,000 and make that donation and apologize to me and the American people.”

Reid’s claim is made even more astonishing by the fact that countless other people like Eileen Benthal have come forward in recent months to share similar stories — and It’s always the same story: cancellation notices are received, premiums (and usually deductibles) under ObamaCare are markedly higher.

Yet, Reid wants America to believe that in every case, “all of them,” as he said, these people are lying. Shame on you, Harry Reid.
