>> Over the past 30-some years, they've poured more than 100 million dollars into a sprawling network of foundations, think tanks, front groups, advocacy organizations, lobbyists and GOP lawmakers, all to the glory of their hard-core libertarian agenda.

Really? $3 Million a YEAR? WOW.

The West is led by the weaklings the Left wanted
..........................................................................................
In Britain, Europe and the United States they all swooned over Barack Obama. They got the weakling they wanted.
So, what's their problem?

Obama looking disengaged

2 March 2014
thecommentator.com

Over in the United States, the attempt by foreign-policy enthusiasts in the Democratic Party to distance themselves from the train wreck that is the Obama administration has been gathering pace for some time now.

Finally, it is starting to happen in Britain and Europe too where, after Syria, Ukraine and many other instances, the leading lights of the political Left seem to have woken up to the fact that Western leadership isn't quite what it might be these days.

"One of the alarming features of the crisis on Ukraine's Crimean peninsula is the staggering confidence with which Vladimir Putin is pursuing his agenda there and in eastern Ukraine," reads the opening paragraph of the Observer's editorial on Sunday.

Actually, there's nothing staggering about it all, unless you have about six years of baggage to shed over your support for Barack Obama. Putin clocked Obama for the weakling he is from day 1.

All we're seeing from the Russian leader is more of what we have seen over Syria, Iran and a host of other cases, except that Ukraine is right in Putin's own back yard.

"One thing is certain," the Observer says, "the current crisis presents the biggest threat to security in Europe since the Balkan wars, and western leaders, including Obama and David Cameron (who has spoken to Putin on the phone), have hardly been impressive in their response, demonstrating a weak grasp on the events unfolding. For now, Putin is ahead of the game. It is time for the international community to catch up."

Quite what they're complaining about isn't clear. In Barack Obama they have precisely the "Leader of the Free World" they always wanted. He embodies all that they stand for, and all that they are.

He does not believe in the primacy of Western values. Neither do they. He therefore sees no reason to show leadership around the world. Neither do they. He has downgraded and diminished the U.S. military as a consequence. The Left applauds. He shows weakness to the mullahs in Iran. The Left praises him for his diplomacy. He worships dictatorship-friendly bodies like the UN. The Left cheers him as a peacemaker.

You can't have it both ways. If you want a weak-kneed, apologetic, bleeding heart Western leadership don't feign surprise when the likes of Vladimir Putin fail to take you seriously.

Defenders of Obama point to his drone strikes as evidence that he's not quite the soft touch his critics make him out to be. But that's foreign and defence policy reconstituted as a video game. Even Obama can act all tough and macho when the worst thing that can happen to him is a demonstration in Peshawar after he's accidentally taken out a wedding party.

Drop the virtual reality and he's wandering in traffic.

Weakness is policy, and the world's dictatorships have taken note. The only question now is how much more damage can be done before this disastrous presidency finally comes to an end.

The Left’s Most Hated Koch Brothers Are Only 59th In Highest Political Donations

Only days ago the most hatefilled, partisan member of the Senate, Democrat Majority Leader Harry Reid, again cried that the evil Koch brothers are destroying the country with their political donations. But it turns out that the Kochs are 59th on the big donor list. Worse, liberals take up almost all of the top 10 donors.

There has been gnashing of teeth and rending of clothes among extreme lefties over the big money donations made to conservative and libertarian causes by David and Charles Koch. They helped create the political activist group Americans For Prosperity and have funded many, many such groups across the nation. This center right activism, of course, makes them a target of the haters on the left and push them into top spot as the left’s most hated boogy men.

But a recent look at the nations deep pocket donors shows that the brothers are way, way down the list of big donors and that lefties fill most of those top slots.

In a piece by Mark Tapscott we find that six of the top ten donors to political causes are left-wing unions.

Those unions are AFSCME, the NEA, IBEW, UAW, the Carpenters & Joiners, and the SEIU.

And who is the biggest political donor? The extremist, left-wing group ActBlue. In fact, ActBlue tops the list after being around for only ten years, a full 15 years fewer than the Koch brothers have been involved in and donating to politics. Yet ActBlue has topped the Kochs by tens of millions in that short period of time!

The other three donors in the top ten are communications giant AT&T, the National Association of Realtors, and Goldman Sachs.

But on the floor of the Senate, Senator Harry Reid has whined that the Koch brothers are “buying” the country and destroying Washington with their political activism and their political donations.

As usual we find that those on the left simply lie. About everything.

The Koch Brothers – Exposed!

That rhetoric is reminiscent of the primitive zeitgeist that mitigated against the industrial revolution that freed the masses from grinding poverty. It is business that makes the poor better off. Not the way ADM or Buffet conducts business by buying influence, but by honest competitors like the Kochs presenting their stuff for acceptance or rejection by consumers. That is the way superior people discover how best to deploy scarce resource that have alternative uses.

Venezuela has been run by thugs that despise what the Kochs represent. Now Venezuelans have a hard time getting even bung fodder. A good idea in your view??

What the deluded call "Ron Paul’s screw-the-poor id" is EXACTLY the philosophic underpinnings of what has been proven time and again to move us away from a time when life was indeed nasty, brutish, and short.
