Paul, how 'bout an analogy?
We know weather is unpredictable...So is the market.
It will get hot then it will get cold.Stocks will go up then they go down.
Therefore why do we read the weather forecasts? Fundamentals say it will snow every winter in Montana and be hot every summer.

Isn't TA for weather somewhat usefull?
Isn't TA for stocks similar to a thermometer or barometer. It may not be totally accurate but if the barometer goes from 30 to 29 don't set sail!

Ladies? You mean we got some purty girls hangin' with us? I like girls.

FYI -- I got an inquiry from a middle eastern oil company that wants to buy 3 large jackups. They are tired of paying high day rates. Trouble is, nobody in their right mind would sell one of those golden goose's. Of course that's not to say I won't try to find them something at some stupid price -- those folks have a lot of bananas you know.

Then I will gently propose that they build a few rigs. They won't like this idea at first, but when they see there aren't stupid people to sell them 3 jackups, they may change their tune -- think I might talk to my boys at FGII about this?

The actual outcome will probably be that they just keep on paying the high day rates whether they like it or not. 'Cause you can bet your bee-hind they aren't going to stop poking holes looking for that Texas Tea.

Now THAT is PRICING POWER !
