Long term to me would be anything longer than 18 months or so.

I invest in just about everyway imaginable. I have longterm investments that I don't sell. I trade some stocks for short term gains 3 to 9 months. I have owned some stocks as short as a week or two. I have also used options in certain situations (PRST was one).

The reason I don't have more long term positions is I don't have a source of funds that allows me to continue to add alot of new money to my portfolio. I would guess that is how you have done so well, continually adding funds to your portfolio. When I find a new opportunity, I have to pull funds from another investment.

PS IOM is a screaming, pounding the table buy, don't sell it. And I hope you bought a bunch more VVUS yesterday or today.
