Herm, I'm no mgt. or investment expert, but it would seem
to me that this drop in production at VVUS is very normal
for a company growing this fast. My only concern would
be the Asencio report that effectively says the product
doesn't work. If the product truly works, this company is
fine. I'm averaging down tomorrow with 100 more shares.
Lets do some CC ridin'

Herm,

I'm new to the thread and haven't read it all yet, so I don't know if you'll permit me to ask advice, but I'll ask anyway, and will understand if you would prefer I just read the thread first.

I'm holding 1100 shares of VVUS at an average price a little over 30. Bought on margin and causing margin calls. I haven't written calls on it. I have or will have, lost all my money in the following VVUS options:

October 40's at 2-7/8, quantity 10
December 37 1/2's at 6 1/2, quantity 15
December 35's at 6.67 av, quantity 10
March 35's at 8 5/8, quantity 5

From this, you'd assume I'm wealthy. I'm not. I overextended myself considerably in VVUS and will sustain losses I cannot afford. I can't afford to average down right now, so I also can't afford to write puts. I could write calls if it could be an effective strategy, of course. Do you have any suggestions at all?

Linda

Howdy Everybody!

I noticed today that Zack's research had an upgrade this past week by a regional brokerage firm with a "strong buy." The buy recommendation moved up from 3 to 4. First Call consensis of 3 which is a hold!

This should be a come back week for VVUS with the options expiration day rolling around. Greenspan will be out of the country meeting in Europe to tie up lose ends for the Far East Flu!
