1. Nothing in your post suggests they "defected", other than they were told to get in the planes and fly them to Iran, which is a de facto defection, since they weren't going to be coming back. The argument that some 130 aircraft suddenly carried defectors, in unison, to Iran, is pretty silly on its face. And of course, the article you cited suggested nothing of the sort.

2. FYI, Wikipedia isn't a source of history. It is a website where anyone can post anything they want.

3. Fox News wasn't even in existence at the time so I'm not sure what that has to do with it.
