The school principals would have the authority to approve teachers who would have "access" to on campus weapons and those people would have to undergo weapons qualification training. Hopefully the principal approval concept would act as a screen. However, no system is perfect. One has to make a judgment about what is the greater harm in enacting or not enacting this policy. It should probably be a school board decision that reflects the will of the voters.
