You mentioned how Atheist Randians viewed "the Christian moral imperative to serve the needy is a “monstrous idea.”

The Randians falsely claim to have justified an objective basis for Morality. You seem to agree with me that they have failed. My question to you is: Given your expressed Atheism, what is the basis of your own moral imperative? Further: What objection (beyond your own personal taste) can you raise to any particular behavior in another person?<<

You are mis characterizing what I said. I never said what you said I said. Show me where I said the Christian moral imperative to serve the needy is a monstrous idea. I never said that!!!!

I notice conservatives always do that. Twist what liberals say. Do you do it on purpose or can't you follow the logic? Usually it is because you cannot defend your position.

I never tied Ayn Rand's atheism to my disliking her philosophy. I simply dislike her philosophy and think it is nuts.

Her atheism has nothing to do with that.

And the grand irony is that we liberal atheists seem to be much more moral than Christians. It was the bible belt that was the last place to integrate and Christians who fought integration the most. It is the Christians who are fighting gay marriage the most now and I could go on all day long e.g. the war on women.

I consider myself a very moral, generous and honest man. Because I believe that is the right way to live my life. And I taught my children to be moral. And they are wonderful. Honest, decent and compassionate girls.
