I'm very familiar with both Macs and PC's, having developed software to run on both and now supporting both. As far as one being better than the other, when Microsoft meant DOS, the Mac was superior and I owned several Macs, also through the early versions of Windows. But Windows system 7 is just as easy to use as a Mac, just as stable, runs more software, especially games and specialized business software you can't even get on a Mac. But, MS has made a huge blunder with Win 8 that may drive more users to Macs.

Windows machines are more prone to viruses than Macs, but browser-based malware runs great on both.
