The worst government education systems are in the areas controlled by democrats. Why were there applicants for 100 times the available spots in DC area charter schools? Obviously democrats even cannibalize their own in the quest for power.

This chart may help to correct your misunderstanding of where there are problems with government education:

Notice that the improving areas are mostly in the deep South. This is the area of the country you disparaged. The democrat strongholds of NY, CA, MD, DE, RI, IL, DC and HI are all lagging far behind the national average.

There are certainly several states that trend conservative that have room for improvement. When you consider the population fo the affected states you will realize that democrat control is inflicting far greater harm on this society.
