Because every broker out there is recommending Bonds... We all know the story on that. And in inflation & deflation Gold is used as a hedge. So as ASIA eats into high techs, causing deflation you may well expect currency to start equalizing, to where they should be {AKA the G7} and thus a sell off on the US buck {not yet, but a high near Feb} which will cut deep into many areas. PS: Never compare gold just to one currency. Try the Yen some time, or the MARK!
