Why the lecture on the brain. I post on the brain thread. No one is more of a zealot than I about education and understanding the brain. But what I know that she didn't is that education can change a brutish person to a very civilized person. Knowledge Directed Perception says one cannot see what they do not understand. People mostly behave brutishly when they do not understand. And one learns how to manifest complex thinking. Most of our social ills can be solved with nothing more than a good education. And the fact I can conceive of a nicer world than she could tells me she is wrong. I know I could raise a better kid than she could have-:>). I see a world where we all work together. Not one where everyone is pitted against each other. That is the law of evolution (instinct ironically). Cooperation is the law of civilization: Eldridge Cleaver.
