Google Glass ‘hate crime’ victim wants a free trip to SXSW
deathandtaxesmag.com

Glasshole and Supertroll Sarah Slocum—who claimed she was the victim of a hate crime after people made fun of her for wearing Google Glass and whose purse was stolen after being left unattended in a crowded bar—broke her long silence this week, requesting on Twitter that Google sponsor a trip for her to go to SXSW and “educate” the public about their dumb glasses.

What exactly the public needs to be educated about isn’t clear. If it’s to teach us, the lowly “non-tech” public, that those who are excited about Google Glass lack basic self-awareness and tact, mission accomplished!

Ultimately, Glass is just another ugly and expensive consumer product, that doesn’t really bring anything new or interesting to the market, save for the ability to wear your phone on your pasty face. Possibly the best feature of Google Glass is that it loudly announces to the world that you’re a huge asshole, without requiring anyone to waste time learning that fact by getting to know you.
