also, i do agree that children born into poverty and not having a respectable father figure or just a respectable mother is generally a recipe for disaster... but cutting off welfare or food stamps doesn't address the problem... but maybe there should be a limit on how many children a mother is allowed to have and still get govt support
There is now a limit--two children is my understanding. One doesn't get any extra money anymore for numbers beyond that.

I wish the PHD's would study the "effect" ,if any, of this limit. In other words did welfare families start to get smaller as a result of this policy.
