Pay people more to be married than to be single. Simple.
The Heritage foundation has proposed not cutting the welfare benefit for any recipient who gets married (up to some kind of income limit--don't know what it is) and I support such proposal. This is not exactly your proposal, but a step in that didrection.

I would think welfare supporters would have jumped on this proposal, but I haven't heard that they have and I wonder why this is.
