"Nebraska" just arrived. I'll save it for the weekend.

Most people remember Bruce Dern from "Coming Home", but for me it's "On the Edge". He played a 40 year old, once track star, who was banned for competition by cashing in his expense money for a track meet, or some such thing. He decides to enter some mountain trail race of about 15 miles where competitors are given head starts based on their age and gender. The race official found out that he had entered, and notified him that he was forbidden. Dern runs anyway with the official trying desperately to get him off of the course, and runners providing protection. It had a corny ending, but I liked it at the time. Dern was really a runner in those days and looked the part.

I have been told that I look like William H. Macy (guess I'm repeating myself here), particularly when shaving isn't a priority :)

Enjoyed "Nebraska" as well. The black and white seemed a good choice. My folks used to fill out the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes, so we weren't that far removed from the Dern character :)

BTW, it wasn't until his second scene that I recognized our old friend, "Saul" (Better call Saul!)".
